Narda Remote Spectrum Analyzer NRA

Multi-Channel Spectrum Analyzer NRA

PC-Software NRA-Tools

The NRA-Tools PC software is used for configuration and for updating the firmware of instruments in the NRA family. The software can be used to generate Multi Channel Tables and upload them to the NRA via USB, for example. This software, developed by Narda, is included with the device.

Demo programs

Four programs are included with the instrument, providing sample demonstrations for visualization of Spectrum, Scope and I/Q data (option), Multi Channel Power (option), Level Meter (option) operating modes. A recording function allows logging of the command sequences, making it easier to integrate remote control of the instrument into your own software environment.

Live Spectrum

  • Enables communication in Spectrum mode.
  • The Live Spectrum demo program allows you to adjust the following parameters as examples: Fcent/Fspan, Fmin/Fmax, Reference Level, RBW, VBW, Result Type, etc.
  • You can display the measurement results graphically as a measurement diagram or numerically in the form of a table.

Live Multi Channel Power

  • Enables communication in Multi Channel Power mode (option).
  • The Live Multi Channel Power demo program allows you to adjust the following parameters as examples: Service Table, Reference Level, RBW, VBW, Result Type, etc.
  • You can display the measurement results graphically as a bar graph or numerically in the form of a table.

Live Level Meter

  • Enables communication in Level Meter mode (option).
  • The Live Level Meter demo program allows you to adjust the following parameters as examples: Fcent, RBW, VBW, Reference Value, Averaging Method, Average Value and reset values, etc.
  • You can display the measurement results graphically as a bar graph or numerically.

Live Scope and I/Q data mode

  • Enables communication in Scope and I/Q data mode (option)
  • The Live Scope and I/Q Demo Program allows you to adjust the parameters by means of examples
  • You can also view various evaluation types in the time domain and perform further evaluations on the raw data by using special monitoring software.

Web applications

The two web applications included with the instrument, Web Terminal and Display Viewer, are pre-installed on the NRA and can be run in an Internet browser without needing to be installed on your PC.

Web Terminal

Web Terminal is a user interface for entering remote control commands using an Internet browser.

  • Transmit remote control commands to the NRA from a selection list or by entering them manually.
  • Follow the data transfer between Web Terminal and the PC on the terminal screen.

Live Display Viewer

Display Viewer is a virtual test instrument display screen that allows you to visualize the parameter settings and results using an Internet browser.

  • Activate the required communication link in Web Terminal and start Display Viewer.
  • Produce a screen shot of the measurement display using the facilities provided in your browser.
  • The Live Display Viewer is only for visualization of the instrument settings and is independent of communication with the instrument.

Auxiliary programs

Two programs are included with the instrument. These are support configuration of the NRA and location of other Narda test equipment that is connected to the network.

Configurator

Configurator helps you with convenient configuration of the NRA network adapter and allows you to synchronize the system time between the PC and the NRA.

Finder

Finder helps you to locate NRA instruments that are already logged on to the network.
